Playing a clue

Select a dollar value on either board. Read the clue aloud, tap Open buzzers, and the first phone to buzz in gets to answer. Mark the answer Correct or Wrong. A wrong answer locks that team out of the clue; reopen buzzers to let another team try. Playing without phones? Tap a team under Who’s answering to give them the clue (hide those buttons in Settings). With show timers on (Settings), players get five seconds to buzz in and five to answer; when time runs out you still judge. Reveal the answer when you’re ready, then return to the board. Undo reverses the last action.

Host and TV

Keep the host console on your laptop and put the display on the TV in fullscreen, from this browser or by entering the room code on the TV. To host from your phone, tap Host from your phone and scan the code; a TV window opened from here hides its host buttons until you move the mouse. Players join from the QR code on the TV. The host can see answers and Daily Double positions; players see an answer only after you reveal it.

Wagers and rounds

Each round opens like the show: the TV board starts blank. Tap Fill the board, then reveal the categories one at a time (your screen shows each name to read out), or Reveal all & start at any point.

A Daily Double’s clue appears after you choose a team and lock its wager. Only that team answers. After the last board, teams with positive scores can play Final Jeopardy. Collect their wagers in the host console before revealing the final clue, then have them write down their answers. Reveal each team’s answer in turn, lowest score first, and mark it right or wrong; the TV shows the wager and the score.

AI host

Choose The AI host when you set up teams and the game runs itself: the team in control picks clues on its phone, buzzers open after the clue is read, and whoever buzzes in holds the mic button and says the answer (or types it). The AI judges, the TV shows the call, and anyone can tap Overrule while it’s up. Daily Double and Final wagers and answers happen on the phones. This console still works if you want to step in.

Games and teams

Use Games to create, edit, or copy a game, then Play to name your teams and start with fresh scores. Template edits apply to new games. A game can have one round or two (Rounds, in the editor). Daily Doubles can be random or placed manually: one in the first round and two in different categories in the second.

Game templates are saved in this browser; the live game runs on the server and ends if the server restarts. Export JSON to back up templates. Only browsers with the host link can run the game. Sound plays on the TV board; turn it on or off from the host console or the board. Settings pick the board’s theme and turn the board animations on or off; reduced-motion preferences are always respected.
